![So it was basically an image like this that made my mother ban me from watching Sailor Moon on TV. This was waaay back when she wasn’t sure about her faith(or us about ours) and she just overreacted to it insanely. I was banned from using the internet to watch the shows(I still looked stuff up which is why I still have a massive cache of images and info saved somewhere…) but yeah. It’s funny, looking at it I can see why she might have overreacted.
Of course, as back then, my little kids mind found this imprisonment posture fully acceptable as their attacks were directed by their hands mostly(and their feet are kind of helping hold them up??) but I never saw it as a slur against Christianity. I don’t let it bother me now, but I wonder… how much more different would my life have maybe been if my mom hadn’t overreacted to this, and many other things. Not just faith-based overreactions, but just in general. I have a feeling I’d be much more social. Probably still dancing. Blah.

Hey, can we be adults for a minute? This person posted their opinion, and they have every right to do so. THIS IS THEIR OPINION. This appeared on my dash so many times it’s not even funny. They have every right to dislike the series, and it could be that they just don’t like it. It doesn’t mean they’re attacking it because it’s a female-fronted show, it might really just not be their cup of tea. We have no right to say that their opinion is stupid or wrong because it is THEIR DAMNED OPINION. Not yours. As for the argument that it’s not ‘unpopular’ well damn, have you seen yourselves? Have you seen the reaction? Why is a fandom that’s supposed to be loving and caring acting in such a manner? It’s different when there’s actual points being discussed, writing techniques, animation, plot progression(or holes), but none of that is going on. Most people seem to be bashing a vague opinion. Let’s just recap: THEY DIDN’T LIKE IT. THIS IS THEIR OPINION. YOU LIKE IT. THIS IS YOUR OPINION. YOUR OPINION IS NOT MORE VALID THAN THEIRS. GET OFF YOUR FUCKING HIGH HORSE AND SETTLE DOWN. Maybe I’m just following too many Moonies on Tumblr, but it seems like this fandom is pretty hypocritical. “Oh we love everyone, we accept and tolerate everyone! Unless, of course, you don’t agree with us or like what we like.” I’m just fed up with seeing petty things plastered all over. We’re ready to rally to a fellow Moonie’s aid to support their right to love the show, but that also means we have to acknowledge peoples right to dislike the show. Accept it and move on.

Okay, this is going to come off as so bitchy and wrong, but I hate this so much.
Those lyrics do not belong ANYWHERE on ANY artwork. If those are really the lyrics from the song E.T. … then no. I’m objecting not just because it’s Sailor Moon, but because that song is all about rape. And it’s done in a manner that makes it seem like women want it. It’s a disgusting filthy song that’s played on the radios and sung from the lips of adolescents who don’t know shit. I’m really sad this appeared on my dashboard, because it sickens me. Also because it’s in a fandom that I wouldn’t have expected it to be in. I could be taking this overboard, maybe the manga coloring/scan is from an appropriate section, but still… I really don’t agree with this.
